We live in the internet age and the internet is playing an increasingly central role in all of our lives. As such, any serious entrepreneur needs to factor the internet into his/her business plan.

While the MLM industry is struggling with volatile downlines and shrinking profits, the internet is growing rapidly. An important part of that growth is the increase in internet transactions. This growth has resulted in an expanding number of people who are developing internet home-based businesses.

It is silly to ignore the internet's capacity to generate large numbers of direct sales. If you develop an internet home-based business then your customer pool is virtually unlimited. With the web you are not limited by geographic space! And your web presence has the potential to generate complete sales transactions 24/7 without your direct involvement.

But why direct sales? Once again, the first reason has to do with the numbers: more than half of all American's have purchased something through direct sales. Consider the success of direct sales platforms such as eBay and then think about the potential that you can harness if you develop your own internet home-based business.

Additional reasons to get involved in direct sales instead of MLM are legitimacy and success. Many MLM payment schemes are dangerously close to pyramid schemes. So, there is always a chance that your organization may get shut down. But even if that doesn't happen, many MLM's fail when their top performers leave for a better opportunity and take their downlines with them. And on top of that, some estimates place the failure rate of people in MLM organizations as high as 99.9%. That means that only 1 out of 1000 people will succeed in any given MLM organization.

Finally, what's all this talk of "top tier" direct sales? How is it different from MLM and other forms of direct sales?

The difference is exactly what you might expect. When I talk about top tier, I'm talking about getting involved with high quality people and promoting a high quality product with a large profit margin. If you sell a strong product with a large profit margin then you will be able to generate large profits with only a few sales. This allows you to focus on targeting your marketing and providing a great service to your clients. It also gives you access to your profits right away rather than waiting for MLM profits to trickle in over the course of years. Once you have those profits you can then invest in long-term securities and capital to create real wealth and independence.

"For Things to Change YOU Have to Change" - Develop the Millionaire Mindset of Successful Networkers

Like any good entrepreneur you have to have your mind set on convincing people to invest in you. Customers and businessmen need to believe that you have what it takes to be successful. They need to see that you already have the millionaire mindset.

The first step to portraying the millionaire mindset is believing in yourself. Before starting my own company I asked around for advice, and everyone said that I had to believe in myself, my venture, and my product. If you don't believe in it, why on earth would someone listen to your advertisements and pitches?

If you want to become a millionaire, and believe that you can do it, then you should think and behave like one. People can spot a fake from a mile away. But just because you don't have the zeros in your bank account doesn't mean that you can't portray a millionaire mindset. As a matter of fact, you should!

Part of that mindset is the belief in the attainability of your goal. Train yourself to think positively. Picture yourself a few years down the road having reached the summit of your aspirations. Taste it. Realize that it's within your grasp. And then your luck will improve because you'll be more motivated and charismatic thus drawing in new contacts and accelerating your progress towards the finish line.

Once you've done the hard work of establishing a millionaire mindset, you'll find that you are much more confident answering the phones and contacting potential customers.

Changing your mindset is the hard part of portraying value and success. After that, you can do little things like paying attention to how you dress and where you take your clients out to lunch. Now get to work developing that millionaire mindset!
